Day 2

SUBJECT: MY STATE OF MIND

- I am a slave to fate
I dont have control over whats on my plate
I wish i can start off with a clean slate
I’ll wait for that date with an open gate
Till then, I have no other option but to bury all this hate

- I dont fit into my home as a patient son
I dont fit into my organisation as an outstanding employee
I dont fit into any girl’s imagination
I dont fit into any definition that reads ‘ handsome’
On the whole i am a MISFIT

- The mind seeks solace in what it is not supposed to do.
Take my case. I derive the maximum pleasure from watching sports/movies/the opposite sex.
But i have been created in such a way that i dont have the talent to either act/play sport/play womanizer.
In fact i can do anything but the 3 mentioned above.

- I want to free my mind off all this self consciousness and inferiority complex
And surround myself with an imaginary wall which shields me from whatever bad i assume attacks me.

SUBJECT: WINNING
Though I am no genius, I still hate losing
There is no harm in aspiring to win
I wont say that I am trying hard to win
but still, the very thought of winning
makes me feel alive and kicking

SUBJECT: OPPORTUNITY
We all need an opportunity to test our weaknesses.
I thought i didnt have the calibre to work in a software company but, Infosys came knocking with an opportunity for employment.
I have thrived in that environment for more than 2 years now.
There were lay offs too. I survived the storm.
What i am coming to say is that we can go in search of options which will test our strengths but, not our weaknesses.
All the single guys out there like me, we can extrapolate the above statement to explain our misfortune with the opposite sex.

SUBJECT: OUR NATION
The habits which I observe among the common ‘aam janta’ of Chennai are spitting on the roads, smoking in public, and a general rudeness in whatever they do. I wont include littering in public coz the government has not provided enough public toilets. The way forward doesn't seem to be any different what with the govt. being extremely passive on these issues. A Govt. which has legalised the LGBT community still has not opened its eyes to basic public cleanliness.

IT IS ALL RIGHT AIMING FOR THE SKIES, BUT THE TAKE-OFF RUNWAY IS ON LAND.
TAKE CARE OF YOUR LAND FIRST. THE SKIES WILL WELCOME YOU WITH OPEN HANDS.

  1. Going by the way it has been written, i would say the author is no more an amateur

The state of mind:I feel that you have a lot of talent with you. It is just that you need to trash the negative feelings you have about yourself.

Winning: The attitude is great, but i feel you need to boost up self-confidence. Once you are done with that, i bet, no one can stop you...

Opportunity, Our Nation and the final quote: I strongly agree. The final quote was a thought provoking one!!!

Your philosophical outpourings have much meaning, but also a dash of cynicism. You certainly have the makings of a good writer! Kudos!!!!
